Is a degree by correspondence (distance education) with recognised university sufficient to apply Govt/Bk jobs?

My son is doing graduation through correspondence course with Madras university.Can he apply for bank or Govt jobs? Or is it necessaryto do full time course only?

For govt job or any other job, graduation is must these days apart from some professional skills like computer etc, You would appreciate that no advertisement says that graduation should be a full time course, the eligibility criteria is a graduation degree and not the mode and in case your son scores good marks and has good talent I believe no one can stop him from getting a good job.
