if I get BS mech engineering online …would I be able to pursue a Masters?
finished my 1srt major in bilingual Lit. currently getting my teach cert. want to finish my BS mech engineering online. with this online degree will I be able to pursue a Masters in Engineering in any Univ (or even get to pick larger universities). …i know is a long shot, but Iam working two to three jobs, trying to get scholarchips and getting more help to afforded it. ….is there a slim chance to obtain Masters? i want to get into research for life.
If it isn’t accredited, it isn’t worth the paper its printed on. If it is, you can probably get an MS. But, an MS is no more a sure thing for research than a BS. A PhD is the closest you can get to a sure thing for research. I did research for 10 years with my BS…and lead a team that included PhDs, so I’m not stretching the truth. It depends on your aptitude, the opportunities, and some luck (along with dedication).

Only if you take it at a accredited school. Most schools that will be accredited will require you do to midterms and finals on campus and will take you just as long to get your degree as everyone else. If you take it out of state you can arrange to take the midterm/finals at local testing centers.
I ended up taking around 50% of my classes online for the same reasons you listed.
