Cons…. the whole idea of earning a degree online is a con. If you want to do nursing attend a nursing school or college otherwise you are just throwing your money away. You will need hands on experience and no one is going to hire someone who hasn’t had some real training.

The pros are that you have more flexibility of scheduling and your personal life. You can also select long distance schools. Plus it’s usually cheaper.

The cons are that you will have less interaction with the professors, less opportunities building networks, and less program selections.

One convenient way of earning a nursing degree is through online schools. You have the luxury of going through the lessons at your own pace and in your own home. There are lots of online sites nowadays that offer nursing programs so better be sure that the one you choose is legitimate and actually is accredited.

The only downside I can see is that if you are used to the traditional way of education then it would take some time for you to get acquainted with this system.

The good thing is that it is more of a personalized type of education, its like taking the course where you are just the student. This in effect would maximize the retention of newly learned ideas and procedures.
