Which State Universities offer online PHD programs in Business?
I am trying to avoid schools that are completely online, like Walden or the University of Pheonix.

Will we ever see online or distance PhD degrees that are respectable?

The only reason to get a Ph.D. in business is to teach at the university level and even if it were possible to earn this degree at a reputable university online, an online PhD., which seems to me to be almost a contradiction in terms, would almost certainly not lead to a teaching position at a reputable university,
In any case, you are smart to want to try to avoid the schools you mentioned and will be even smarter to avoid them entirely.
