Psychology degree through University of Phoenix online…?

I will be going back to school soon. I want to major in Psychology. I am aware of the long road needed to be traveled to make any real money in this field. The money isn’t really that important, honestly. Just the knowledge you will gain to help other people is enough. But, I was looking for some schools, and the University of Phoenix kept popping up through my searches. I have spoken with the people at the University itself, and it sounds really good. They even offer MS and PhD programs as well. But what I want to know, is this school serious? I have asked them, and of course I got the "Yeah, we are this, and we are that" talk. Does anyone out there have any first hand experience with this school? Do Online Degrees stand up against traditional campus education? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

1. First thing first, you get a degree from the University of Phoenix. No where on it does it say "online degree."

2. UOP is a regionally accredited institution, meaning, credits earned through them do transfer.

I attend UNLV (University of Nevada, Las Vegas) and also University of Phoenix. I take ground classes as UOP but it’s similar to online. I can tell you, the curriculum at UOP is just as hard as UNLV if not a bit harder because UOP has you working in a team environment a lot. It’s been a great experience with me so far.

I have nothing but good things to say about the school, they are on top of things, the professors are nice (most of them anyways) and all of the professors have a lot of knowledge and experience. Many of whom taught at traditional style universities.

Overall, you should sign up!!

Best of luck!!
